# Porto Katsiki
This is the most famous and impressive beach in Lefkada. Porto Katsiki is located on the southernmost spot on the western side of Lefkada. It can be accessed by car or by excursion boat from the port of Nidri. The name of this beach means the port of the goat and is probably the most photographed spot on the island. This is actually a nice bay with white pebbles, crystal water and an impressive cliff surrounding it. Above the beach are a couple of beach bars with impressive view to the Ionian Sea.
The name of this beach means abrupt cliffs in Greek. This is indeed one of the most abrupt beaches in Lefkada, fairly difficult to access by foot as visitors have to get down a narrow and long staircase to get to the beach. There are also excursion boats to Egremni from the port of Nidri. The long size of Egremni allows both organized and private places to swim. The organized part has umbrellas, sun beds and a beach bar.
Kathisma is actually the easiest beach to get from the three most famous beaches in Lefkada (Porto Katsiki- Egremni- Kathisma). This is a long beach with crystal water and largely organized with sunbed, umbrellas, beach bars and water sports. There is even a paragliding club in Kathisma beach, Lefkada. Some nice Lefkada studios and beach hotels are found above Kathisma.
# Agios Ioannis
Located in close distance to Lefkada Town, Agios Ioannis is the most popular kitesurfing spot on the island. The wind is perfect for kite and windsurfing in Agios Ioannis, especially from the midday until late in the afternoon. There are many kitesurfing centres along the beach as well as restaurants, cafeterias and studios. At the end of Agios Ioannis beach are few ruined windmills.
Mylos is probably the hidden gem of Lefkada island, Greece. This is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in Lefkada. It is accessible with excursion boat from the close village of Agios Nikitas or through a hiking path (20-30 min) again from Agios Nikitas. This is a totally unorganized beach with no facilities at all. Due to its secluded location, this is a naturist beach.
